Tobias Patrick Wolf is a conductor, trumpeter and composer. He studied in Cologne and Bonn in Germany before he came to live in Aberdeen, Scotland in 2015 to further his studies in music at the University of Aberdeen, focusing on conducting under the tuition of Christopher Gray and Dr John Frederick Hudson, as well as composition. His career in the music industry started with a position at the International Beethovenfest Bonn and a liaison with international participants including the world’s most renowned orchestras, soloists and conductors, such as Sir Simon Rattle, Valery Gergiev, Sir Colin Davis, Gustavo Dudamel, Sir John Elliot Gardiner, and many more.

Wolf is Assistant Conductor of the University of Aberdeen Symphony Orchestra, the Marischal Chamber Orchestra and Aberdeen University Choral Society under the direction of Musical Director Christopher Gray since 2017. As founder and Music Director of The King’s Philharmonic Wind Orchestra, he is dedicated to perform challenging repertoire with emerging artists and performing new works of young composers. Recent concerts include performances with Irish baritone Dermot O'Connor and Scottish violinist Anya MacRae performing works of composers in residence Benjamin M Cramer and Peter Davis. He first appeared as a conductor in Scotland when he gave his debut with the University of Aberdeen Wind Band at the Aberdeen and North East of Scotland Music Festival 2016 which was awarded with a Gold award for an ‘outstanding’ performance. Tobias Wolf was awarded with the James Lobban Conducting Scholarship in November 2017 and he is Assistant Conductor of the Aberdeen Bach Choir for the season 2017/2018 under the direction of Peter Parfitt. He performed J. S. Bach's Christmas Oratorio with Aberdeen Sinfonietta and Soloists Dame Emma Kirkby, Nicholas Spanos, Nathan Vale, Dawid Kimberg in December 2017. He will be conducting parts of a concert of early music with His Majesty's Sagbutts and Cornetts in April 2018. Tobias Wolf was appointed District Youth Conductor in the administrative district of Neuwied, Germany in 2010 and he was Artistic Director of the klangTunnel Music Festival 2015 that took place at the Ludendorff Bridge Tunnel of Erpel, a unique venue famous around the world for its links to the Second World War. 

Concert Tours and Music Projects have lead him to many places in Europe, including amongst many others: Milan (Italy), London (England), Aberdeen, Glasgow, Edinburgh (Scotland), Crakow (Poland), Prizren (Kosovo), Cologne, Hamburg, Berlin (Germany), etc. Besides his engagements as a conductor, he has performed as a Trumpet player for the Marischal Chamber Orchestra (Principal Trumpet), University of Aberdeen Symphony Orchestra (Piccolo and Second Trumpet), Aberdeen University Concert Band and Wind Band (Principal Trumpet), UoA Opera Society Orchestra, amongst others. Under the direction of royal wedding composer Professor Paul Mealor, Tobias sang Tenor in the Aberdeen University Chamber Choir and took part in their top 3 UK Chart Album ‘Immortal Memory’ in 2017. He has performed for members of the Royal family, including HM The Queen and TRHs The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall.
